How to Delete Your Data

Instamagic respects your right to control your personal data. If you wish to delete the data we have collected through your use of our service, you can do so using any of the methods below.

Option 1: Delete from Your Dashboard

If you have an active Instamagic account:

  1. Log in to your Instamagic account at instamagic.org/login
  2. Go to Dashboard → Connect
  3. Click "Disconnect" next to your Instagram account
  4. This will immediately remove your Instagram data, access tokens, automations, and message history from our servers

Option 2: Request via Email

Send an email to care@instamagic.org with:

  • Subject: Data Deletion Request
  • Body: Include your Instagram username and the email associated with your Instamagic account

We will process your request within 48 hours and send you a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.

Option 3: Remove via Facebook/Instagram Settings

You can also revoke Instamagic's access directly from your Facebook or Instagram account:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings → Security and Login → Business Integrations
  2. Find "Instamagic" in the list
  3. Click "Remove"
  4. This will revoke our access and trigger an automatic data deletion on our servers

What Data Gets Deleted?

When you request data deletion, we permanently remove:

  • Instagram account data — Your connected Instagram profile information and access tokens
  • Automations — All automation rules, keyword triggers, and message templates you created
  • Message history — Records of automated DMs and comment replies sent on your behalf
  • Webhook events — All Instagram webhook event logs associated with your account
  • Analytics data — Usage statistics and performance metrics

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
  • Deleting your data does not delete messages already delivered to Instagram users — those are controlled by Instagram's platform.
  • We may retain anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be linked back to you for analytics purposes.
  • Certain data may be retained if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., transaction records for tax compliance).

Confirmation

After processing your deletion request, you will receive a confirmation with a unique confirmation code. You can use this code to verify that your data has been deleted by contacting us at care@instamagic.org.
